As a mother of two children, Jeannie has narrated countless children’s books. Yet despite all the wonderful collections in the children’s library, their most favorite evenings were those spent snuggled in bed, listening as she told them a tale that she spun on her own. Her children would listen entranced, as she would rattle on rhyming rhymes & spinning tales.
Today, Jeannie has several completed children’s story manuscripts. These writings are quite diverse and can be divided into three categories, with each story as a part of a series.
The first children’s series, entitled Great Grampus Bunny Tales, has three stories in the collection. They are geared toward the middle reader and average 700 to 1,000 words. This whimsical series was created to make learning the ways of this big world easier to digest, as narrated by the lovable character Great Grampus Bunny.
The second series, Monster Memoirs, has four in the collection and was designed to grow with a child. The first two stories are for the very young reader and have less then 200 words each. These zany books attempt to make monsters less menacing. The other set of books incorporate education, while the witty monster theme is cleverly captured yet again.
The final series, Now I Know My . . ., is a perfect set of ever-popular ABC and counting books. Using a touch of elegance in the prose, children will adore the characters and reading about some of their favorite things.
