An avid animal lover and former professional equestrian, in addition to riding, Jeannie’s shared passion has been reading & writing. She was born in California and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from the University of Illinois, she spent several years migrating across the Midwest and more than half a decade living in Europe. Upon moving to Europe, she began her career as a journalist writing for numerous international travel & lifestyle publications and was the editor-in-chief of an English-language magazine in Brussels, Belgium, as well as an editor for numerous organizations in Slovenia.
Inspired by her two children, she has written numerous
children’s manuscripts and is in the process of having them
published.
Additionally,
she recently completed a full-length novel, European
Etiquette Tips & Quips From A Broad, a compilation of her monthly column
she wrote in Belgium, Pas
na Pas, and personal advice from her own social triumphs and
blunders, and is now working on her second full-length novel, Amour or Less — a quirky whodunit. Purely fictitious,
it’s themes were often drawn on actual experiences from her years abroad. While
pursuing her aspirations as an author, she continues to write for numerous
publications and is currently preparing a monthly column, Sex on the Beach, a tongue-in-check narrative on
friendship, love, and lessons learned while getting acclimated to life at the
beach, and she is about to launch a delicious new cooking column — coming soon!
Today she resides with her family in Florida. Her hobbies are gourmet cooking, wine tasting, and sports such as surfing, sailing, skiing, tennis, horseback riding, hiking, swimming, cycling, running, and Texas hold ‘em poker. She enjoys to travel nationally and abroad and is an avid reader, artist, music enthusiast, and writer.
